Bryant nets 43 in win

Kobe Bryant’s 50-point streak is over. But the Los Angeles Lakers’ season-high winning streak lives on.

Bryant scored 17 points in the first nine minutes Sunday night, but cooled off after that and finished with 43 in the Lakers’ fifth straight victory, a 115-113 triumph over the Golden State Warriors in Los Angeles.

Kings 107, Suns 100: At Sacramento, Calif., Mike Bibby scored 37 points and hit two of his career-best nine 3-pointers in the final 1:15 of Sacramento’s victory over Phoenix.

Mavericks 104, Hawks 97: At Atlanta, Dirk Nowitzki and Josh Howard had 28 points apiece, and Jason Terry scored 15 of his 27 in the fourth quarter to help Dallas beat Atlanta for the Mavericks’ sixth straight win.

Pistons 121, Bucks 95: At Milwaukee, Tayshaun Prince scored 28 points and some bench players made key contributions to carry Detroit to a victory over Milwaukee.

Reserve forward Jason Maxiell had 19 points and 15 rebounds for the Pistons.

Timberwolves 94, Trail Blazers 93: At Minneapolis, Kevin Garnett’s 15-foot fadeaway jumper at the buzzer lifted Minnesota over Portland.

Garnett finished with 22 points and nine rebounds.

Bulls 92, Pacers 90: At Indianapolis, Ben Gordon’s spinning fadeaway from just inside the paint with 2.8 seconds left lifted Chicago to a win over Indiana.

Indiana’s Jermaine O’Neal had a chance to force overtime, but missed a jumper from near the free-throw line as time expired.

Hornets 106, Rockets 94: At Oklahoma City, Chris Paul scored 28 points and David West added 23 to lead New Orleans to a victory against Houston.

Nuggets 105, Cavaliers 93: At Cleveland, Carmelo Anthony scored 27 points, Nene had 21 and Denver defeated Cleveland.

Anthony, the league’s second-leading scorer, was 12 of 19 from the field for the Nuggets.

Rasheed Wallace received an automatic NBA suspension for the Detroit Pistons’ game at Milwaukee, two days after being called for his 18th technical foul of the season. … Sacramento guard Kevin Martin injured his eye early in the second quarter of the game against the Phoenix Suns.
