Feature creature

Grizz has been at the shelter for almost a month. He was originally brought in with his three canine friends as part of a cruelty case. He has been tied up in the yard most of his life and not given enough food and attention. Now this robust, energetic guy wants to make up for all the love he missed until now. He is a high-energy dog that has had little training but is eager to learn. Once you touch him he melts into your hug and sits still until you are done.

He has been temperament-tested and found to be good with both dogs and cats; however a polite mellow dog would be best. He would probably do well with older children who can help teach him how to be a good member of the family. He is very food-motivated and will learn quickly with positive training techniques. He already knows how to “sit.”

Come and meet Grizz at Spokanimal CARE, 710 N. Napa St. The telephone number is 534-8133. Spokanimal is open every day. Adoption fees are $79.50, but Grizz has been sponsored so his adoption is $54.50. The fee includes neuter, rabies vaccine, license and microchip.
