“Senior Brandon Haas allowed two runs on six hits while striking out seven in the complete game and host Post Falls held on to beat Lake City 3-2 in the Inland Empire League. The Trojans (5-5, 2-3) scored two runs in the second inning to go ahead 3-0. Chris Combo pitched four scoreless innings in relief for the Timberwolves (5-3, 1-2).

Echo Abramson’s two-run double in the bottom of the eighth gave East Valley (3-4) a 15-14 win over visiting Rogers in the Greater Spokane League. The Pirates’ Ashley Partridge hit a two-run home run in the top of the eighth to put Rogers up 14-11 before Abramson’s blast ended the game. Abramson (2-4) finished 4 for 5 with four RBIs and also picked up the win. … Elsewhere in the GSL, Taylor Backman threw her second no-hitter of the season as North Central blanked visiting Ferris (0-7) 5-0. Jenny Darcy led the Indians (6-1) with three hits and Kelsie Vallies hit a solo homer in the fifth. Backman, who struck out eight in the complete game, improved her record to 2-0. … Sam Skillingstad allowed one hit and no runs while striking out 12 as Shadle Park coasted to an 18-0 win over visiting Lewis and Clark (0-8) in five innings. Allie Burger provided the big hit for the Highlanders (7-0), a grand slam in the third. Skillingstad improved to 7-0. … Alyssa Hawley went 3 for 5 with seven RBIs and three runs scored as University blanked visiting Mt. Spokane (3-4) 22-0. Hawley hit a grand slam in the Titans’ 14-run second.
