Kootenai County sheriff

Chad Stevens, Post Falls, reported Thursday $1,830 damage to the walls, carpet, furniture, steps, counter tops and other interior damage and the $50 theft of cash from his home in the 1400 block of South Madison Road near Post Falls.

Jim Meeks, employee of Northwest Developers, reported Thursday the $490 theft of two batteries and bucket accessories from a 2006 Caterpillar backhoe parked at a worksite on Twin Lakes Road and state Highway 41 near Rathdrum.
