Auditions

“Cinderella” – Lake City Playhouse, Monday and Tuesday, 6:30 p.m., callbacks Wednesday at the theater, 1320 E. Garden Ave., Coeur d’Alene. For ages 6 and older. Auditioners should prepare a song and bring the sheet music. Bring a photo of yourself the theater can keep. Call (208) 667-1323.

“Call Me Madam” – Cutter Theatre, May 21 and 22 at 7 p.m. at the theater, 302 Park Ave., Metaline Falls, Wash. Auditions will include singing, dancing and reading from the script. No preparation necessary. Performance dates: July 26-Sept. 2. Call (509) 446-4108.

Idaho Christian Youth Theater – The after-school theater program for children ages 6-18 is expanding to North Idaho. A meeting is set for Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Songbird Theatre, 315 N. Fourth St., Coeur d’Alene. Anyone interested is encouraged to attend. Call (509) 435-3436.

Idaho Prize for Poetry 2007 – The Lost Horse Press is accepting submissions of book-length poetry manuscripts for publication. Entries are due Tuesday. Entry fee is $25; a SASE must be included. Call for artists

Spokane County Interstate Fair – Applications are being accepted for entertainers to perform on the community stage during the fair Sept. 7-16. Applications should include an audition tape and photo, plus a videotape if possible. The deadline is Friday. Call (509) 477-2772 for more information.

Spokane Park’n Swap – Artists and crafters are needed for the flea and farmer’s market set to begin May 19 and 20 at the old Newport Cinemas at Highway 2 and Hawthorne Road. Post Falls Library Poster Contest – Students age 11-18 are invited to create a poster around the theme “Get a Clue @ Your Library.” The work can be drawn, painted or collage. Posters should be at least 11 by 14 inches but no larger than a full sheet of poster board. Winners will receive cash prizes. The deadline is May 26. Entry forms are available at the library, 821 N. Canine Caper – Organizers are in need of a T-shirt design for the fourth annual Canine Caper on Aug. 4 at the Boundary County Fairgrounds. Shirts will be given to all walk finishers. The design contest winner will receive $100; there are also prizes of $75 for second place and $25 for third. The deadline is June 22. First Night Spokane – The annual New Year’s Eve celebration is looking for performers and visual artists for more than 40 locations in downtown Spokane. s.m.Art by the River Festival of the Arts – The St. Maries Council for the Arts is looking for artists and handcrafters to submit applications for the annual festival in July.
