Nationals 6, Marlins 0: At Washington, Shawn Hill threw five no-hit innings before leaving with a sore right elbow, helping Washington end an eight-game losing streak by beating Florida.

Phillies 7, Cubs 2: At Philadelphia, Pat Burrell hit two home runs and drove in five runs, Cole Hamels pitched seven strong innings and Philadelphia beat Chicago.

Mets 5, Brewers 4: At New York, David Wright, Carlos Delgado and Damion Easley homered, helping New York to a victory over Milwaukee, snapping the Brewers’ six-game winning streak.

Diamondbacks 3, Astros 1: At Houston, Chris Young hit two solo home runs and Brandon Webb shut down the Astros for his sixth career complete game to lead Arizona to a victory over Houston.

Giants 8, Rockies 3: At Denver, Colorado’s Josh Fogg took a no-hitter into the sixth inning only to see it evaporate, and the Giants’ Tim Lincecum earned his first major league victory in San Francisco’s win over Colorado.

Padres 7, Cardinals 0: At San Diego, Jake Peavy became the first Padres pitcher to strike out at least 10 in four straight starts, holding St. Louis to three hits in seven scoreless innings.

Dodgers 2, Reds 0: At Los Angeles, Randy Wolf struck out a season-high 11 in seven innings as Los Angeles defeated Cincinnati for the seventh consecutive time.
