Feature creature: Sherman

Kim Lytle Correspondent

Sherman is an energetic young dog with a full-throttle approach to life. He has been at SpokAnimal CARE since May 3, when he was picked up as a stray.

Sherman has been temperament-tested and was found to be very affectionate toward people. He is a little “rough and tumble” in his play and would do best in a home with older children.

He appears to have had some house training and knows how to sit for treats. He is food-motivated and willing to learn whatever you want to teach him.

Sherman was great with the other dogs he was tested with, and the behavior specialists said he would be great for a first-time dog owner willing to go to school with him to teach him how to be a good canine citizen.

Adoption fees are $79.50 and include neutering, rabies vaccination, license and microchip. The shelter, 710 N. Napa St., is open every day of the week. Its telephone number is 534-8133.
