People: Lindsay headed to re-rehab
Lindsay Lohan is reportedly back in rehab after a wild Memorial Day weekend in which she crashed her car, was busted for DUI and was later photographed passed out in a car.
“She finally realizes it’s the right thing to do,” In Touch magazine quoted a friend of the actress as saying. “She is going willingly.”
In Touch said Lohan, 20, checked into Promises in Malibu, Calif. – the same facility Britney Spears recently visited.
Lohan, who spent time at a different rehab facility earlier this year, was arrested Saturday after her Mercedes SL-65 convertible struck a curb in Beverly Hills.
Investigators said they found a “usable amount” of what they believe is cocaine.
On Monday, the X17online.com Web site posted photos of Lohan slumped in the passenger seat of a car after leaving a pool party at Hollywood’s Roosevelt Hotel.
Father Michael Lohan, recently jailed on assault and other charges, says his daughter needs to find religion, like he has.
“When Lindsay puts God back in her life, things will turn around,” he says. “Until then, I’ll just keep praying.”
The real root cause
Britney Spears says in a posting on her Web site that she “hit rock bottom” after her marriage ended, sending her into rehab.
Spears, who filed for divorce from Kevin Federline last November, in March completed a monthlong stay at luxury Malibu center.
“I realized how much energy and love I had put into my past relationship when it was gone because I genuinely did not know what to do with myself, and it made me so sad. I confess, I was so lost,” writes Spears, who shaved her head before seeking treatment.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck says she’s trying to patch things up with former “The View” co-host Rosie O’Donnell after last week’s on-air spat that led to O’Donnell leaving the show.
“This weekend gave us the opportunity to tackle our most important Hot Topic yet, and that was the power of forgiveness, and I believe that we’ve begun that process,” Hasselbeck said on Tuesday’s show.
On her Web site Saturday, O’Donnell, who had planned to leave the talk show next month anyway, said: “I haven’t spoken to her, and I probably won’t, and I think it’s just as well.”
Stealing away quietly
Barbra Streisand has canceled a concert scheduled in Rome next month that prompted protests over high ticket prices.
Promoters blamed “unexpected production delays” for scrapping the show, which was fetching up to $1,200 per ticket.
Stained reputation?
Finally, a federal judge says he will dismiss Carol Burnett‘s $2 million lawsuit over the use of her cleaning woman character in the animated series “Family Guy,” which showed her mopping up in a sex shop.
