District expands free meals program

POST FALLS – Seltice Elementary School has been added to Post Falls School District sites offering free meals to children as part of the Summer Food Service Program.

Seltice Elementary was added to the meal sites in response to concerns by some parents who were worried about the safety of their children crossing busy Spokane Street to reach the middle school, aid Kathy Elkson, of the school district’s nujtrition program.

The meals program runs from June 11 to Aug. 22 and is open to all children age 1 to 18. There’s no paperwork or sign-up requirements for children to enjoy free breakfasts and lunches.

Meals will be provided at the following addresses and times:

“Ponderosa Elementary, 3483 E. Ponderosa Blvd.

Breakfast – 8:15 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Lunch – 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m.

“Post Falls High School, 2832 E. Poleline

Breakfast – 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.

Lunch – 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

“Seltice Elementary, 1101 N. Chase

Breakfast – 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Lunch – 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

“Post Falls Middle School, 301 E. 16th

Breakfast – 8 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.

Lunch – 11:15 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.

“Frederick Post Learning Center, 201 W. Mullan

Breakfast – 8 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.

Lunch – 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

“River City Middle School, 1505 N. Fir

Lunch only 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.

“Prairie View Elementary, 2478 E. Poleline Ave.

Breakfast – 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Lunch – 11:15 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
