You’ve waited all year, and finally the big weekend is here.
Whether you are looking for crafts, gifts, baked goods or other yummy treats, the traditional weekend to start your Christmas shopping at local church bazaars has arrived:
“Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 2733 W. Northwest Blvd., will present its holiday bazaar Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Items for sale include dried flowers and flower arrangements, baked good, homemade candy, jewelry, arts and crafts and there will be a Christmas Corner and a country store.

“Emmanuel Presbyterian Church, 1926 W. Chelan Ave., will host its Fall Bazaar on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The sale will include plants, baked goods, a quilt raffle and white elephant items.
Also for sale will also be a lunch of soup, sandwiches and pie.

“The Spokane Buddhist Temple, 927 S. Perry St., will present its Fall Food Bazaar Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Lunches for sale include chicken or vegetarian yakisoba noodles for $8 and there will also be a bake sale, senbei for sale and sushi.
Visitors make eat in or take their meals to go and there will be live bamboo flute music from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“North Hill Christian Church, 4620 N. Post St., will hold its Second Annual Fall Craft Bazaar Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Items for sale include jewelry, crafts, food, plants, books, puzzles and more.

“The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, 127 E. 12th Ave., will present its 79th annual bazaar Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The theme for this year’s bazaar is music and stained glass windows.
Items for sale include crafts, gift items and there will be musical presentations.
Visitors to the bazaar will be able to tour the church’s labyrinth and see the new stained glass windows.

“Central Lutheran Church, 512 S. Bernard St., will hold a Scandinavian bazaar Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The event will feature Scandinavian specialties including lefse, meatballs, and traditional cookies such as rosettes, krumkakes and sandbakkels.
Other items for sale include cookbooks, crafts, candy, more baked goods and attic treasures.
There will be a Norwegian coffee hour from 9 to 11 a.m. Scandinavian desserts will be available, served by women in traditional costumes.
The cost of the coffee hour is $4 for four treats and coffee.
The proceeds of the event will benefit local charities including City Gate, Crosswalk, Cup of Cool Water, Hope House, Lutheran Community Services, Mid-City Concerns, Ogden Hall, Sally’s House, the Salvation Army, Second Harvest Food Bank and SPEAR.

“St. John Lutheran Church, 223 S. Hallet St., Medical Lake, will present its annual bazaar and rummage sale Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Items for sale include homemade sausage, cider, baked goods, lefse and crafts.
Lunch and supper will be available both days for both eat in and take out.

“The women of Central United Methodist Church, 518 W. Third Ave., will present its holiday bazaar Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Lunch will be served at this event from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Tickets are available at the door: $6 for adults and $3 for children younger than 12.
Lunch includes turkey casserole, salad, carrots, a roll, beverage and dessert.
There will be a drawing for a LeMoyne Star handmade antique quilt from 1930 at 2 p.m.
Tickets for the drawing are $1 each, or six tickets for $5.

Auction
St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 5720 S. Perry St., will present its annual Toasting & Tasting event Saturday from 7 to 9:30 p.m.
The evening will feature wines from 10 local wineries, a live auction, a silent auction, hors d’oeuvres and music.
The tickets are $25 and are available either at the door or in advance.

Theater
Christian Youth Theater-Spokane, will present “Little Women,” a musical version of the classic story by Louisa May Alcott.
The production will be presented Friday, Saturday and Nov. 9 and 10 at 7p.m. and Saturday, Sunday and Nov. 10 at 3 p.m. at the Bing Crosby Theatre, 901 W. Sprague.
There will also be school day performances Tuesday and Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., and tickets must be purchased in advance for these showings.
Admission is $5 to $8 in advance and $10 at the door.

Music
“Cliff and Bobbie McCoy are hosting a free Country Gospel Jamboree at Country Homes Christian Church, 8415 N. Wall, Thursday evenings at 7 p.m.
Today’s featured band is The Glory Band.
All ages are welcome and free refreshments will be served.

“Mark Turnbull and Mark Austin will perform at the North Spokane Unity Center, 4123 E. Lincoln Road, Saturday at 7 p.m.
The evening will include original rock/folk acoustic music, as well as covers of classic songs from Bob Dylan and the Beatles.

Workshop
The Episcopal Peace Fellowship will present a workshop, “Stewards of Children: Adults Protecting Children from Sexual Abuse,” Wednesday from 5:30 to 9 p.m.
The training workshop will be held at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, 127 E. 12th Ave., and will discuss how to recognize, prevent, and react responsibly to child abuse.
The session is free, but registration is required.
