Bjorklund will start for Vols
Angie Bjorklund, a freshman from University High School, will start as a wing when top-ranked and defending national champion Tennessee tips off its season Sunday against the USA women’s basketball team.
“She earned this,” Lady Vols Hall of Fame coach Pat Summitt said. “She absolutely earned this spot.”
Tennessee plays a second exhibition game Tuesday before kicking off defense of its national title on Nov. 11.
“Angie heard me tell (a reporter) who was starting,” Summitt told Inside Tennessee.com. “She started laughing. I finished talking about her – I was talking about her game and what she brought to our team – and when I hung up, I came over … and said, ‘Was that all right what I said?’ She started smiling and she said, ‘Coach, that’s fine.’ “

Hingis tests positive, retires
In an out-of-nowhere end to Martina Hingis’ comeback, the five-time Grand Slam champion revealed Thursday she tested positive for cocaine at Wimbledon and will retire for a second time rather than fight what she called a “horrendous” accusation.
“I am frustrated and angry,” the 27-year-old Hingis said at a news conference in Zurich, Switzerland, her voice breaking as she fought back tears. “I believe that I am absolutely, 100 percent innocent.”
