Pac-10 picks
Believe it or not, every team in the Pac-10 conference can still become eligible to play in a bowl game. After Saturday, two could be eliminated, including the loser of the Washington State and Stanford game.
But everyone else will still have hope to play a postseason game.
Do we have to pick the bowl games too?
As always, the listed line is for your entertainment purposes only.
Arizona State at UCLA (ASU by 7): The Bruins are on their fourth quarterback of the season. The Sun Devils have used one. Maybe Gary Beban can come off the bench and throw a touchdown pass for UCLA. Arizona State 24-14.
USC at Cal (USC by 3.5): Oh, how the supposedly mighty have fallen. This game may just decide who goes to the BCS Champi … no, I mean the Sun Bowl. One constant: Pete Carroll doesn’t lose in November. It still is November, right? USC 21-17.
Washington at Oregon State (OSU by 4): The one way the Huskies can usually move the ball is on the ground. The toughest team in the conference on which to run is Oregon State, by a wide margin. Oregon State 14-10.
Stanford at Washington State (WSU by 10.5): The winner stays in the bowl race. The loser is out. It’s in Pullman, where the Cardinal have won the last three times. But this is a WSU team that plays well at home. WSU 27-14.
Last week: 4-1 overall, 2-3 vs. spread; Season: 40-20 overall, 21-36 vs. spread.
