Orthodox charity speaker
Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church will host an evening titled “One in Spirit,” about the efforts of the International Orthodox Christian Charities, Saturday.
A Vespers service will begin at 6 p.m. followed by a dinner and program at 6:30. The guest speaker will be Dan Christopulos, director of development at IOCC. The organization funds humanitarian aid and development work around the globe.
The evening is free, but donations will be accepted to help aid victims of extensive fires in Greece. The church is located at 1703 N. Washington. Call (509) 328-9310 for more information.
Concert and extreme sports
Generation Alive will host a faith-based concert and extreme sports show called “Crave” at the Spokane Arena Thursday at 7 p.m.
Music will be performed by headliner Hawk Nelson, with The Send and Tripple Threat. BMX biker Mike Mancuso, professional skier Josh Kasper and World Series pitcher Jeremy Affeldt of the Colorado Rockies will provide entertainment.

Veterans Day service
The Episcopal Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist will host a special Choral Evensong service Sunday at 4 p.m. in honor of Veterans Day.
The cathedral, 127 E. 12th Ave., will be open for self-guided tours and meditation before the service beginning at 1.
Auction and luncheon
Moran United Methodist Church will host its ninth annual penny auction and luncheon today from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Southside Senior Center, 3151 E. 27th.
Items up for bid include themed baskets and crafts. Lunch is $5, and a beverage with dessert is $2.50.
Bazaar, food festival
The St. Mark’s Lutheran/Faith Presbyterian bazaar and food festival will be Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 9485 Maple in Hayden, Idaho.
There will be lefse, baked goods, gifts and decorations. Lunch items will be available for purchase from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
