The Slice
THE SLICE
It’s surprising.
A search of The Spokesman-Review’s archives shows that the phrase “Spokane family” rarely shows up in headlines. And when it does, it’s not usually good news.
“Fire damages Spokane family’s home.”
“Testimony starts in veteran’s trial/Former Spokane family was gunned down in Florida.”
At first glance it appeared the same would be true of headlines with “Idaho family.”
“Idaho family recovering after blast.”
“Idaho family prepares for funeral.”
But if you keep searching, things start looking up.
“The target is fun for one North Idaho family/Skeet Shooting is a way of life.”
“Moose hunt by three generations of Idaho family is one for memory book.”
Though I guess the moose wouldn’t consider that happy news.
