Portland State 31, Northern Colorado 21: At Greeley, Colo., Tremayne Kirkland caught two touchdown passes as the Vikings broke a five-game losing streak to end the season with a win over the Bears.
The Vikings led 24-21 before sealing the win with a time-consuming 80-yard drive in the fourth quarter. With 4:54 to go, Ronnie Fa’avae ran 14 yards for a touchdown, and Northern Colorado couldn’t score again.
Sacramento State 41, Idaho State 30: At Sacramento, Calif., freshman running back Bryan Hilliard rushed for 243 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Hornets to a victory over the Bengals.
Junior running back Travon Jones also rushed for 80 yards and two touchdowns for the Hornets, who ended the season with a two-game winning streak.
Senior running back Josh Barnett rushed for 60 yards and two touchdowns for Idaho State. He ended his career as ISU’s all-time rushing leader with 3,415 yards.
