Akron beats Eastern women
HONOLULU – Sarah Tokodi scored 18 points – including 10 of 10 from the free throw line – and dished out four assists and Kara Murphy had 13 points and a team-high seven rebounds to lead the Akron Zips to a 66-62 victory over the Eastern Washington Eagles on Thursday in the the Oahu Classic.
Nicole Scott scored 14, Jessica Huntington 11, and Katy Baker and Kyla Evans 10 apiece for the Eagles, who will face Marist on Saturday.
