J.K. Rowling‘s magical, Midas touch has landed her on the cover of Entertainment Weekly as entertainer of the year.

The magazine says the “Harry Potter” author – who has sold nearly 400 million copies of her boy-wizard series that’s been adapted into a megasuccessful movie franchise – deserves props for getting “people to tote around her big, old-fashioned printed-on-paper books as if they were the hottest new entertainment devices on the planet.”

Other honorees were divided into five categories that recall school cliques, including:

•Valedictorians: George Clooney, Will Smith, Angelina Jolie, “The Sopranos” cast.

•Most popular: Matt Damon, Carrie Underwood, Katherine Heigl, Johnny Depp, Kanye West.

•Prodigies: Zac Efron, Shia LaBeouf, Rihanna, Miley Cyrus.

•Class clowns: Vanessa Williams, “The Simpsons,” director Judd Apatow (“The 40 Year Old Virgin,” “Knocked Up”) and his buddies (including Seth Rogen and Paul Rudd).

•Most buzzed-about: Amy Winehouse, Gerard Butler (“300”), Tyler Perry.

Hogan knows last

Wrestler Hulk Hogan‘s wife, Linda, has filed for divorce.

The couple star in the VH1 reality series “Hogan Knows Best.” Recent episodes show the normally close couple attending marital counseling, but they eventually reconcile.

Hogan told a reporter he had no idea his wife had filed the court action, adding, “Thank you for the great information.”

Making goo-goo-goo eyes

Former Beatle Paul McCartney has been spotted squiring actress Rosanna Arquette around London.

According to the News of the World, the pair recently took a romantic stroll through the city and shared a tender kiss goodbye.

“It was all cloak-and-dagger stuff, but Paul couldn’t resist a quick cuddle,” a witness told the newspaper, adding: “Rosanna was beaming after that.”

Another whirlwind tour

Speaking of British royalty, Prince Charles visited the mausoleum of one of Islam’s greatest mystic poets Monday – Mavlana Jalal al-Din al-Rumi, the father of Sufism, which preaches tolerance and love – and watched the whirling dance of his followers, the dervishes.

The heir to the British throne and his wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, are on a four-day tour of historic sites in Turkey.

Call him the king bee

Jerry Seinfeld was treated like royalty over the weekend while visiting Israel for the first time in decades to promote his “Bee Movie.”

Seinfeld met both the prime minister and president, and toured the official Holocaust memorial, Yad Vashem – the route taken by visiting world leaders.

His last visit was in 1971, as a 15-year-old volunteer on a kibbutz collective farm.
