Nancy Tuggle
Spokane
Nancy Tuggle celebrated her 100th birthday on Aug. 7.
She was born in Kansas City, Mo., on Aug. 7, 1907. She has lived in Spokane since 1991. A celebration was held in her honor on Saturday.
Tuggle married her husband, George, in 1930.
She worked as a model in Hawaii for 20 years and later settled down to raise her children.
Tuggle attributes living a long and healthy life to eating healthy and the “occasional martini.” She also said she lives life out of the “top half of the cup and forgives and forgets.”
When asked what her most memorable moment in her 100 years has been, Tuggle recalled Pearl Harbor and the tragedy of 9/11.
She has three sons, three daughters, six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
