Hints from Heloise
Dear Heloise: I would like to share a hint that I stumbled upon. I have lots of old nondenominated stamps, which I bought whenever the postage rates changed. Since they don’t have the value printed on them, I lost track of their face value.
The USPS.com Web site can help. Just go to the site and select “Buy Stamps and Shop,” then click on “FAQs.” Next choose Question 3: “Using older nondenominated stamps for postage.” There is a link to click on (“Nondenomination stamps”) where you will see pictures of the old stamps and can find their face value. – Kathryn, Houston
Great information. Thanks for helping me find that I had several dollars’ worth of stamps that I didn’t know their worth. – Heloise
Dear Heloise: Compact digital cameras are usually sold alone, without protective carrying cases. Instead of purchasing the manufacturer’s protective case, I slip a clean tennis wristband over my camera for protection. – Risa Sodi, via e-mail
