Roald and Phyllis Halvorson will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary with a reception at the Spokane Club on Saturday at 4 p.m.

Hosts for the event will include their children and spouses: Stephanie and Jerry Gates, and Jacqui Halvorson, all of Spokane; ; Rod and Diane Halvorson, Redmond, Wash.; and Brad Halvorson, Bellingham.

The couple were married Sept. 5, 1942, in Portland, N.D. They have seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
