CdA arts scene goes full spectrum

From Staff Reports The Spokesman-Review

With the weather cooling off, the Coeur d’Alene arts season will be heating up over the next nine days.

The fifth annual Art From the Heart fall arts festival will kick off tonight with a reception at the new Chamber of Commerce building downtown, followed by the screening of two independent films at the Coeur d’Alene Resort.

The rest of the festival offers a little bit for all tastes – classical and jazz concerts, choral music, visual arts displays and demonstrations, theater, a dance workshop, an architecture walk, a battle of the bands and, for children, a scarecrow building project.

Presented by the Coeur d’Alene Arts & Culture Alliance, Art from the Heart is a celebration of the arts in Coeur d’Alene and a chance for artists to showcase their work and talents. Most events are free.
