RUDY BURGESS, ARIZONA STATE RECEIVER
Talk about a triple threat. The senior is the only active player in the Pac-10 to have more than 1,000 yards receiving and rushing in his career. Plus he needs just 39 yards to pass the mark in return yardage. And he doesn’t even start. He has caught 18 balls for 256 yards and two TDs and averaged 18 yards on five kickoff returns.
LANCE BROADUS, WSU DEFENSIVE END
It’s been a long road back for Broadus, who injured his shoulder in the spring. Following surgery, he was held out of the Cougars’ first two games and has played limited minutes since. Expect the senior rush end to play a big role in WSU’s scheme today.
TROY NOLAN, ARIZONA STATE SAFETY
The ASU defense has yielded less than 1,000 yards passing this season and Nolan is a big reason. The strong safety is fourth on the team in tackles (18) and leads the Pac-10 with four interceptions. The junior took one of those back 26 yards for a score against Colorado.
