Auditions

“This Child” – North Idaho College, ages 8-11, Saturday from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and Sunday from noon-2 p.m.; adults, Saturday from 2-4 p.m. and Sunday from 3-5 p.m., in Boswell Hall on the NIC campus in Coeur d’Alene. Call (208) 769-3424.

Young People’s Art Festival – Hour-long art classes for children in grades 1-6 including wooden airplanes, fused glass pins, origami boxes, puzzles, ornaments and jazz dance, Saturday, 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. at Moscow Junior High School. Fall Folk Festival – The Spokane Folklore Society is looking for volunteers to help supervise children’s crafts, assist stage managers, help with setup and cleanup, sell baked goods and more during the Fall Folk Festival, Nov. 3 and 4 at the Spokane Community College Lair Student Center. Call for artists

Spokane Ag Expo Photography Contest – Photographers are invited to submit photos depicting “Agriculture in the Inland Northwest.” The photos will be displayed at the Spokane Ag Expo set for Feb. 5-7. Photographers may submit color or black-and-white prints between 8-by-10 and 11-by-14 inches. Photographs should not be framed but may be mounted on cardboard or matting. The limit is four entries per contestant. The deadline is Nov. 16. Entry forms are available at www.agshow.org or by calling (509) 459-4114.

Colfax Arts Council – Artists are needed for a juried competition to select 10 original paintings to be hung in Colfax as lamppost banners. Artists must submit a 7 1/2-by-15-inch painting or a design on 11-by-17-inch paper or other medium by Nov. 15. The fee is $10 for youth and $15 for adults 19 and older.
