Grading the cougars: A-

The Spokesman-Review

Quarterback: B

Brink was efficient though not as accurate as he’s been at times.

Running backs: A

The best effort of the season by far. The holes were there and they found them.

Receivers: B+

The plus comes from the blocking downfield.

Offensive line: A

With new look, run blocking was excellent, though Brink was press- ured at times.

Defensive line: A-

Not only did the three-man look clog running lanes, it put on the pressure.

Linebackers: B+

Other than the big run, they were near perfect.

Defensive backs: B+

The best part: Only once did a receiver get deep and Cowan missed him.

Special teams: B-

Coverage wasn’t strong and a kick was blocked. Turned the tables with a punt block.

Coaching: A-

The Cougars played with desperation on both sides of the ball.
