Hints from Heloise
Dear Heloise: I am a 43-year-old man and maybe not your typical reader, but this is an original idea that has worked out great.
I prefer to carry my cell phone in the front pocket of my dress pants, rather than on a belt clip, but in my pocket the phone would always fall sideways.
With my mother-in-law’s help, we sewed a 2-inch strip straight up and down through the bottom of my pocket. This divides the bottom of my pocket into two compartments, and the cell phone now slides into one area and stands straight up. No more falling to the side – it is easy to reach for and rests completely unnoticed in my front pocket.
Thanks for your column – keep up the great work. – Joe Bevelhimer, Logansport, Ind.
Dear Readers: We called Mr. Bevelhimer to check this, and he was delighted that we were going to print his hint.– Heloise
