Family Caregiver Class Hospice of Spokane is offering this free series of classes on emotional, legal and spiritual issues in conjunction with being a caregiver. Family Caregiver Conference The Council on Aging and Human Services presents this conference on “Being Present – The Art of Compassionate Caregiving,” Sept. 20 from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at Bishop Place in Pullman. The speaker is the Rev. Jennifer Block, an ordained interfaith minister and Buddhist chaplain. The cost is $10 for unpaid caregivers and $35 for all others, which includes lunch. La Leche League The group that provides support to breastfeeding mothers is adding new groups in North Spokane, Liberty Lake and the West Plains. The North Spokane group will meet the second Friday of the month at 10 a.m. in the Maternity Support Services Center, 235 E. Rowan; Liberty Lake will meet the first Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the Liberty Lake Sewer and Water District, 22510 E.
