Hints from Heloise

The Spokesman-Review

Dear Readers: Here are a couple of hints that I thought I’d share:

Instead of using a glass that might break if dropped, use a coffee mug (plastic, metal or ceramic) with a big handle for drinking water in the bathroom. You’ll get a better grip, especially if you have a touch of arthritis or weakness in your hands.

And a fun way to leave a message for someone or a reminder for you is to write on the mirror with a lip pencil. The writing will easily wipe off with a tissue.Heloise

Dear Heloise: In an effort to simplify, and because we often get recipes from various sources, I took the ones I wanted and pasted them onto plain white copy paper. I then inserted them in clear protective sleeves and used dividers to organize them before putting them in a three-ring binder. This is the best way I’ve found to keep adding new recipes to my collection without adding new books to my cupboard shelves. – Juli from Wildwood, Fla.
