Greek festival
Getting a Greek dinner at Holy Trinity Orthodox Church is an annual ritual for some. The 72nd festival will be held at the church Thursday through next Saturday, capping weeks of cooking and baking by the congregation.
Lunch and pastries will be available each day beginning at 11 a.m., and dinner will be served from 4:30 to 8 p.m. The meal includes the traditional Beef Kapama, orzo pasta with Myzithra cheese and green beans.
The meal, however, is just the beginning. There is an outside yaverna, a bake sale, basket raffles, Greek deli, church tours and Greek dancing.
Indoor seating at the popular event can be hard to come by during peak times, so the meals also are available as takeout. The dinner cost is $12 for adults and $6 for children under 12.
The church is at 1703 N. Washington St.
