» If art is your thing, take note of the 2007 Spokane Valley Studio Tour today and Sunday in the Valley area. The self-guided tour has six stops, with multiple artists demonstrating their techniques and showing off their work at each location. Featured art forms include painting, ceramics, music, jewelry, stained glass, paper flowers, origami, photography and furniture.

» Tour hours are from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. today and from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, so you can hit all six in one day or stretch out the experience over the weekend. Locations include 4110 N. Herald Road, 4621 N. McDonald Road, 4810 N. Sunnyvale Road, 2105 Meadowview, 13902 E. 32nd and 11717 E. Viewridge Lane. Maps are available at www.valleystudiotour.com.

Play ball!

» The new ValleyHUB is open for business and will host an open house Sunday from 1-5 p.m. The regional sports facility is run by the non-profit organization and has its roots in the Spokane Valley Ministerial Association. The open house will include demonstration basketball, volleyball and soccer games in addition to tours and refreshments.

» As an added bonus, someone who comes to the open house will win a trip for four to Disneyland. So drop by, shoot a few hoops and check the place out. It's at 19619 E. Cataldo Ave, east of Barker Road. Call 927-0602 for more information.

Walk for Success - Edgecliff SCOPE hosts the 10th annual event to promote the neighborhood’s fight against crime. Y to Y Family Walk - 12.8 miles on the Centennial Trail with eight legs, from 1 to 2.5 miles with water stops and rest stops. Shuttle available from downtown finish to the Valley YMCA. Family games provided by the YMCA of the Inland Northwest and safe cycling tips will be offered by the Safe Kids Coalition.
