Softball

Colville (7-1, 4-0) earned two convincing home victories over Riverside (1-3, 0-2) in a Great Northern League doubleheader and stayed atop the league standings thanks to an 8-for-8 day from Shayd Urhausen.

In the first game, Makayla Carr pitched a five-inning shutout and notched 10 strikeouts in an 18-0 win. Urhausen was 4 for 4 with a double, three runs and three RBIs. Jordan Emmil was 3 for 5 with a double and a three-run home run.

Urhausen continued her impressive day at the plate in the second game and scored four runs in Colville’s 11-1 victory. Emmil had another strong performance for Colville and was 3 for 4 with a double and three RBIs.

Also in the GNL, Chelsea Bowman had two RBIs as visiting West Valley (3-5, 2-2) earned a 13-12 win over Pullman (4-2, 1-1) in the first game of a doubleheader. In the second game, Kirsi Boshell had five RBIs, including a first-inning grand slam, and Erica Hanson struck out six as Pullman won 12-2.

•Lakeland (4-5, 1-3) and host Moscow (4-4, 3-3) split an Inland Empire League doubleheader, with Lakeland claiming the first game 15-6 and Moscow winning the second 10-0. Lakeland used four homers to roll in the first game. Erin O’Harra had two homers, four hits and four RBIs. Jordan Thomas and Amy Westberg also added homers. Jamie Klopatek went the distance for Lakeland and struck out nine. In the second game, Nancy Charles had three RBIs and Gentry Beck had one to help Moscow to the win.

Baseball

GNL doubleheaders featuring Medical Lake at Deer Park and West Valley at Pullman were postponed. Makeup dates were not announced.
