Searches made easier

Wherever Yahoo ends up, it’s making serious efforts to become the de facto search site for cell phone users. Its much improved oneSearch option for mobile phones keeps getting better. Here are two cool new features at m.yahoo.com:

•The “search assist” option figures out or guesses what you’re searching for. Start spelling “Gewürztraminer” and oneSearch pops up results by the time you reach the “u.”

•For those with cool video phones, search a movie name and the results give links to movie trailers. If you have an iPhone, it even provides Quicktime trailers (for now the only video format Apple allows on the iPhone).
