The Children’s Alliance
The Children’s Alliance is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. Its mission is to improve the well-being of children by effecting positive changes in public policies, priorities and programs.
The alliance believes that every child, regardless of race, culture or economic status, has a right to protection, nurturing, encouragement, support and opportunity.
Staffed by about a dozen people, the alliance is funded by grants and private donations including about $200,000 a year for lobbying efforts.
The Children’s Action Network is the action arm of the Children’s Alliance. The network is a growing group of thousands of people who speak up for kids by contacting their elected officials.
