GoGolfNW.com new S-R site
Cowles Publishing Company has launched a new Web site, GoGolfNW.com, a resource for Northwest golfers.
The site is produced in association with The Spokesman-Review and spokesmanreview.com and will include stories and columns from the sports staff and others.
Users of the free site can read and share comments about favorite courses, catch up on the latest local and national golf news, communicate with other players and learn how to book tee times online. The site includes a database of more than 300 courses in the region.
In addition to its online presence, GoGolfNW.com section will appear as a tabloid publication three times a year in The Spokesman-Review.
The first issue can be found in Friday’s paper and includes a story on The Links at Moses Pointe in Moses Lake.
The section also lists information on all the area courses.

Buder carries torch in N.Y.
Spokane resident Madonna Buder is carrying the United Nations torch today at the start of the World Harmony Run in New York City.
The World Harmony Run is a global relay that seeks to promote international friendship and understanding. As a symbol of harmony, runners carry a flaming torch, passing it from hand to hand traveling through over 100 nations around the globe.
Among those carrying the torch today are nine-time Olympic gold medalist Carl Lewis and tennis champion Billie Jean King.
The World Harmony Run travels the world to encourage goodwill at the local level. Simultaneous events occur in some 100 nations throughout North and South America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia. Since the inaugural Run in 1987, more than 5 million people have participated.
Buder, 77, has powered through more than 300 triathlons, including 34 full Ironmans.
She will run in the Boston Marathon on April 21, celebrating her 25th anniversary of her first Boston Marathon.
