Environmental-themed films, cleanups and a low-carbon cafe are among North Idaho Earth Day activities.

•North Idaho College Earth Day events – Today, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at Harding Family Center, 411 N. 15th St., Coeur d’Alene. Includes food, activities for kids, entertainment and educational information. Free. 666-6755.

•Sand Creek Clean-up in Bonner County – Today, 9 a.m.-noon, Meet up at the courtyard next to the Cedar Street Bridge. Prizes and awards will be given out, as well as free rubber gloves and garbage bags. 255-1876, http://www.downtownsandpoint.com.

•Sandpoint Earth Day Festival – Sunday. Arts and crafts for kids plus outdoor games. Presentations will be given on wolves, the Rock Creek Mine, global warming, native landscaping, and water quality. A low-carbon cafe will feature regional offerings. 11 a.m.-5 p.m., Sandpoint Community Hall, 204 First Ave. Free. 265-9565.

•10th annual Bonner County Celebration of Arbor Day – Friday, 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at North Idaho Native Plant Arboretum in Sandpoint’s Lakeview Park. Free. 255-7748.

•”Cadillac Desert” – The second of a four-part PBS series airs at 6:30 Wednesday at the North Idaho College’s Molstead Library, 1000 W. Garden Ave., Coeur d’Alene. The series tells the story of how water needs transformed the American West. The remaining two films run on subsequent Wednesdays through May 7.
