Rockford City Council – A representative from the National Weather Service spoke about placing gauges in the area to gather data for a river forecast. The yard-waste collection day will be May 17, with the location yet to be determined. On Wednesday at 2 p.m. an Arbor Day tree planting will take place by the horse arena. Council members discussed becoming a Tree City USA. A community yard sale is being planned for the first weekend in June. During the council’s next meeting there will be a public hearing on a subdivision ordinance amendment. (Source: Town clerk)
