Find podcasts by way of Scouta

The Spokesman-Review

It’s better that .TXT shows people how to find interesting and relevant podcasts, rather than singling out podcasts that came to our attention.

Scouta is a new automated tool that looks at your own iTunes collection and library and makes recommendations – both podcasts and videos found across the Web.

It’s kind of like when you go to Amazon and it tells you “customers who bought this book also bought these.”

You download the free Scouta agent from scouta.com, create an account, then have it look through your iTunes library. It helps if you have subscribed to some podcasts already. (Check out some of the SR podcasts, such as Som Jordan’s P.A. System.)

We tried it and, no surprise, it suggested checking out some tech-related podcasts.

Anyone else who knows of different Web tools that get similar recommendations, please let us know at TXT@spokesman.com.
