Kinderchor of Spokane – Children’s choir program is holding auditions for the 2008-2009 season on Sept. 4 and 11, 3-6 p.m. at the corner of 57th Avenue and Hatch Road. Spokane Symphony Chorale – Sept. 8. “What the Hay, Uniontown” – The Dahmen Barn in Uniontown, Wash., is hosting a hay bale sculpture contest on Sept. 12 at 6 p.m. Construction may begin Sept. 6 in the field between the barn and the highway. Up to 10 bales will be available for each entry; contestants may provide additional bales. Mechanical creations are encouraged, but there is no access to electricity at the construction site.
