L-C State wins at NAIA tourney

Julie Maciboba finished with a career-high 21 kills and a .347 hitting percentage to lead Lewis-Clark State College (30-2) to a 23-25, 22-25, 25-21, 25-20, 15-13 come-from-behind volleyball win over 11th-ranked Madonna (Mich.) University (35-5) in the opening day of pool play Tuesday at the NAIA national tournament in Sioux City, Iowa.

The Warriors continue pool play today against No. 2-ranked Biola (Calif.) as they attempt to qualify for Friday’s single-elimination action.

Football

The Spokane Shock of arenafootball2 added four players to the roster, including All-Big 12 receiver Billy Pittman of Texas.

Also added was receiver Jason Jones from Arkansas Pine Bluff, defensive lineman Blair Boynton from Northern Arizona University and defensive back Brandon Isaac from the University of South Carolina.

The Shock roster stands at 21 players.
