Auditions

“No, No, Nanette” – Spokane Civic Theatre, Monday-Tuesday, 6:30 p.m., 1020 N. Howard St. Auditioners will be expected to perform a musical number from another show, not to exceed one minute in length, in addition to cold readings from the script. Classes and workshops

American and Cultural Folk Dance Instruction – Offered by Silver Spurs Folk Dancers, for children ages 9-18. Tuesdays, 6:30-8 p.m. for grades 3-6; Tuesdays, 6:30-8:30 p.m. and Saturdays, 9:30-11:30 a.m. for grades 7-12, at the Woman’s Club of Spokane, 1428 W. Ninth Ave. Participants should wear comfortable, layered clothing and shoes. Class members will dance at First Night Spokane, Dec. 31. Meetings

Idaho Writers League – Coeur d’Alene Chapter – Writers of all genres, teens through seniors, meet to exchange ideas and learn how to improve their craft. Meets the second Wednesday of each month from 9 a.m.-noon at the Jewett House, 1501 Lakeshore Drive, Coeur d’Alene, and the third Thursday of each month, 6:30-9:30 p.m., at the Lutheran Church of the Master, 4800 N. On Sacred Grounds Annual Amateur Art Show – Seeking amateur visual and multimedia artists and crafters for second annual art show and sale Jan. 17-31 at the gallery, 12212 E. Palouse Highway, Valleyford. Artists must register by Jan. 5, and work must be submitted by Jan. 15. Up to three submissions per artist. Fees: $25/adults; $15/high school or college; $7.50/ youth.
