Hagerott takes over Whitworth women’s soccer
Daman Hagerott is returning to coach women’s soccer at Whitworth University, director of athletics Scott McQuilkin announced Thursday.
Hagerott, who previously coached the team from 1993-96, replaces Sean Bushey, who resigned to focus exclusively on the Whitworth men’s team, which he also coaches.
Bushey posted a 123-90-16 record in 12 seasons since replacing Hagerott prior to the 1997 season. Under Bushey, the Pirates have finished second in the Northwest Conference three times in the past six seasons and received an at-large berth to the 2007 NCAA Division III championships for the first time.
Hagerott was 46-22-5 in his previous four-year tenure and won NCIC championships in 1993 and 1995.
