Jarod Gunning scored 29 points and Taylor Morgan added 19 points, 13 rebounds, six assists and six steals to lead Davenport to a 79-63 victory over Springdale in a District 7 2B play-in game Friday in Wellpinit.

Andrew Cooper added 16 points for the Gorillas, who outscored the Chargers 15-4 in the opening quarter.

Springdale (14-7) was led by Joel Kohlstedt, who scored a game-high 30 points.

Davenport (10-10) advances to play top-seeded Northwest Christian (18-1) at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Spokane Falls Community College.

Austin Mannick scored a game-high 26 points and grabbed nine rebounds and Jordon Wakefield added 16 points and nine boards as Curlew defeated St. Michael’s 65-39 in a District 7 1B play-in game at Curlew. The Cougars outscored the Warriors 18-7 in the first quarter and led 34-16 at the half. John Drass had 14 points and Michael Ochoa added 10 to lead St. Michael’s (5-14), which was eliminated. Curlew (15-6) advances to play at Odessa (9-9) at 6 p.m. Tuesday. … In another loser-out play-in game, Tucker Guglielmino scored 21 points and pulled down 14 rebounds to lead Northport to a 48-43 win over visiting Almira/Coulee-Hartline. The Mustangs outscored the Warriors 15-7 in the third quarter to take a seven-point lead into the fourth. Brandon Boutain had 15 points and Kyle Tucker added 10 to lead ACH (5-15). Northport (8-13) advances to play at Cusick (14-5) at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Cody Stumph scored 15 points and Brett Thompson added 13 as Riverside came from behind to beat Colville 55-50 in a Great Northern League game in Riverside. Mitch Chandler chipped in 10 points for the Rams (7-8, 2-7), who outscored the Indians 17-6 in the fourth quarter to erase a six-point deficit. Alias Prouty scored 12 points and Skyler Dumas added 10 to lead Colville (8-7, 2-7).

Devon Willenbrock made a layin with 8 seconds remaining to give Newport a 45-44 Northeast A League upset over visiting Colfax. Willenbrock finished with 11 points and Spencer Mullaley added 10 for the Grizzlies (6-13, 3-6), who outscored the Bulldogs 25-19 in the second half to erase a five-point halftime deficit. Sylas Rohner had a game-high 17 points and Jared Berarducci added 16 points and nine rebounds for Colfax (14-5, 7-2). … Elsewhere in the league, Leif Parcell scored 10 of his game-high 19 points in the fourth quarter to lead Lakeside to a 53-44 victory at Chewelah. Brady Blankevoort added 16 points for the Eagles (9-10, 7-2), who led 35-21 at halftime. Forest Trampush had a team-high 11 points for the Cougars (5-13, 2-6).

Adam Roberts scored 15 points and Jake Fleming added 14 as LaCrosse-Washtucna (10-8, 6-4) defeated Sprague-Harrington 49-40 in a Whitman County League game in Sprague. Terry Kissler led the Falcons (2-16, 0-11) with a game-high 28 points.

Raymond Ostlie scored a game-high 20 points to lead Cusick (15-5) to a 52-43 non-league win at Coeur d’Alene Charter. Cameron Hjeltness had 11 points to lead the Panthers (6-9).
