Kelly Hennessey scored a game-high 17 points to lead Liberty to a 50-40 win over Republic in a District 7 2B play-in game Friday night in Wellpinit.
The Lancers outscored the Tigers 14-8 in each of the first two quarters.
Karissa Lehn had 15 points, 15 rebounds and 11 blocks to lead Republic (7-13).
Liberty (9-11) advances to play Northwest Christian (16-3) at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Spokane Falls Community College.
•Emily Pond scored 15 points and Colville used a big fourth-quarter effort to defeat Riverside in a Great Northern League game at Riverside. The Indians (7-8, 4-5) outscored the Rams 15-3 in the fourth to erase a six-point deficit. Shea Spicer tallied a team-high 14 points for Riverside (7-8, 1-8).
•Jordan Harazin scored a game-high 18 points and Sadie Lazzarini added 15 as Colfax whipped Newport 74-31 in a Northeast A League game at Newport. Megan Teade chipped in 11 points for the Bulldogs (15-4, 8-1), who outscored the Grizzlies 17-4 in the first quarter and led 39-16 at the half. Amber Lewis, Sierra Pancho and Alicia Smith all had eight points to lead Newport (6-13, 0-9). … Elsewhere in the league, Kendra Lahue, Leslie Stillar and Aleesha Denney scored 10 points apiece to lead Lakeside to a 56-35 victory over host Chewelah (6-12, 2-6). The Eagles (10-9, 4-5) outscored the Cougars 27-8 in the second half to put the game away.
•Karla Koller scored 22 points and Della Fleming added 18 as LaCrosse-Washtucna defeated Sprague-Harrington 61-43 in a Whitman County League game in Sprague. The Tigercats (10-8, 3-7) outscored the Falcons 15-6 in the first quarter. Lacey Hirst had 12 points and Justyne Talkington added 10 for Sprague-Harrington (1-17, 0-11).
