Mackenzie Wilson scored 14 points and Larissa Miller and Chenel Somday added nine points each as Curlew defeated Northport 45-40 in the first round of the Dist. 7 1B Tournament Saturday in Curlew.

Kaprina Goodwin tallied a game-high 19 points for Northport.

Curlew (12-9) advances to play at Almira/Coulee-Hartline (9-11) Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Northport (7-14) will play in a loser-out game Saturday at Deer Park High School.

In another Dist. 7 1B Tournament game, Serena Condon scored seven of her game-high 13 points in the fourth quarter and Jordan Signor added 11 as Inchelium came alive in the second half to defeat visiting St. Michael’s 40-34. The Hornets outscored the Warriors 21-9 in the fourth quarter to erase a six-point deficit. Katie Urann led St. Michael’s with 12 points. Inchelium (11-8) advances to play at Cusick (14-5) Wednesday at 6 p.m. and St. Michael’s (4-17) will play in a loser-out game Saturday at Riverside High School.

Kirsi Voshell scored 12 points and Shelby Cheslek added 10 as Pullman defeated Colville 63-37 in a Great Northern League game in Colville. Macey Brown and Amy Sterk added eight points apiece for the Greyhounds (14-1, 9-0). Jordan Emmil tallied a team-high 10 points for Colville (7-9, 4-6).

Leslie Stillar scored 27 points and grabbed 15 rebounds to lead Lakeside (11-9, 5-5) to a 50-41 Northeast A League victory over Kettle Falls in Nine Mile Falls. Jessica Coots had 16 points and Chelsea Brisbois added 10 to lead Kettle Falls (8-9, 4-5). … Elsewhere, Chewelah used a big fourth-quarter run to defeat host Newport 44-37. Jennifer Richmond tallied a game-high 12 points for the Cougars (7-12, 3-6), who outscored the Grizzlies 29-16 in the second half. Pamela Bell had 10 points for Newport (6-14, 0-10).

Kelly Van Lith scored a game-high 15 points as St. John-Endicott defeated visiting Rosalia 51-25 in a Whitman County League game. The Eagles (10-10, 7-5) outscored the Spartans (11-7, 3-7) 28-13 in the second half. … Elsewhere, Lauren Varney scored 13 points as Tekoa-Oakesdale (12-7, 8-3) defeated Sprague-Harrington 48-20 in Oakesdale. Lacey Hirst tallied a team-high eight points for the Falcons (1-18, 0-12). … Colton’s game at LaCrosse-Washtucna was postponed because of poor roads.

•Kootenai’s North Star League game at Wallace was canceled because of weather conditions. Also, Priest River’s Intermountain League game at Timberlake was canceled because of bad weather.
