• The Latah Valley/Hangman Neighborhood Council will meet today at 7 p.m. at the Trading Co. store, U.S. Highway 195 and Cheney-Spokane Road.

• The Peaceful Valley Neighborhood Council will meet today at 7:30 p.m. at the Peaceful Valley Community Center, 214 N. Cedar St.

• The Building Stronger Neighborhoods Committee will meet Saturday at 9 a.m. at Perkins Restaurant and Bakery, 12 East Olive Avenue.

• The East Central Neighborhood Council will meet Tuesday at 6:45 p.m. at the East Central Community Center, 500 S. Stone St.

• The Spokane Neighborhood Council Cleanup Program Orientation will be held Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, 808 W. Spokane Falls Blvd.

• The Grandview-Thorpe Neighborhood Council will meet Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Canyon Bluffs Clubhouse, 2610 W. Westwood Lane.

Parks Improvement Bond Neighborhood Meetings related to splash pads will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Roosevelt Elementary School in the multipurpose room, 333 W. 14th Ave. and Thursday in the Sacajawea Middle School cafeteria, 401 E. 33rd Ave.

• The Neighborhoods USA (NUSA) 2009 Planning Meeting will be held next Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at the Office of Neighborhood Services, Sixth Floor, 808 W. Spokane Falls Blvd.

• The Rockwood Neighborhood Council will meet next Thursday at 7 p.m. at St. John’s Cathedral, Jewett House, 127 E. 12th Ave.
