The goal of Somebody Needs You is to match donors with the specific requests of needy Spokane residents.

The list of requests is coordinated by the Volunteers of America in cooperation with recognized social service agencies in Spokane. If you have an item to donate, please contact the social service agency directly. Donors who can deliver items are especially appreciated. If someone you know needs help, contact a local social service agency provider.

•Senior disabled female needs an overstuffed chair. Contact Joanne at Catholic Charities 327-6368.

•Foster youth moving into first apartment needs a bed, dresser, couch, microwave, bedding, pots and pans, dishes and flatware. Contact Bob at Volunteers of America Independent Living 688-1115.

•Disabled male needs a hospital bed. Contact Greg at Aging & Long Term Card 458-2509, ext. 244.

•Single mom with two boys needs dressers, mattress and box spring, couch or love seat, end tables, vacuum cleaner, coffee table, computer desk, TV stand, toy box and dining table with chairs. Contact Taja at Empowering Inc. 251-8864.

•Working telephone answering machines are needed to help low-income persons stay connected, Contact Kristy at SNAP 456-7106, ext. 108.
