Wizards win on Stevenson’s buzzer-beater

DeShawn Stevenson drained a fade-away 3-pointer at the buzzer and the Washington Wizards beat New Orleans 95-92 on Monday night in New Orleans.

Stevenson’s buzzer-beater capped a career night for the Wizards guard as he scored 33 points. Roger Mason scored 12 points off the bench, as did Brendan Haywood, while Antawn Jamison and Antonio Daniels added 10 apiece.

Raptors 102, Pacers 98: At Indianapolis, Chris Bosh had 24 points and 10 rebounds, leading Toronto to victory over Indiana.

Carlos Delfino scored 23 points and made 6 of 7 3-pointers for the Raptors.

Spurs 89, Hawks 74: At San Antonio, Tim Duncan had 23 points and 10 rebounds and the Spurs beat Atlanta for their sixth straight victory.

Tony Parker added 15 points and nine assists and Manu Ginobili scored 13 for San Antonio.

Joe Johnson scored 17 points for the Hawks.

Mavericks 102, Bulls 94: At Dallas, in his first home game with the Mavericks in more than 11 years, Jason Kidd had 11 points with nine rebounds and eight assists in a victory over Chicago.

Dirk Nowitzki scored 29 points for Dallas, which never trailed after Kidd had an assist on Josh Howard’s 3-pointer that opened the scoring a minute into the game and won their 11th straight home game.

Pistons 98, Nuggets 93: At Denver, Chauncey Billups, Tayshaun Prince and Richard Hamilton had 20 points each to lead Detroit over the Nuggets.

Denver had a chance to tie it when Billups fouled J.R. Smith on a 3-point attempt with 6.5 seconds left and the Pistons leading 95-92. Smith made the first free throw, missed the second and intentionally missed the third, but the Nuggets couldn’t get the rebound.

Celtics 104, Clippers 76: At Los Angeles, Paul Pierce and James Posey scored 17 points apiece to lead Boston’s well-balanced scoring in its rout of the Clippers.

Ray Allen added 15 points for the Celtics, and Kevin Garnett had 11 points, six rebounds and four assists in 24 minutes. Both teams used reserves for most of the final quarter.

Results of Brandon Roy‘s MRI show that the Trail Blazers guard aggravated a right ankle sprain that he sustained against the Dallas Mavericks on Feb. 13. He is listed as day-to-day. … Charlotte Bobcats forward Gerald Wallace has been experiencing post-concussion symptoms that include soreness in his neck and jaw since he was knocked unconscious in a game Friday. He’s scheduled to be examined by a neurologist this week.
