He really loved it, yeah, yeah, yeah

Paul LeBlanc doesn’t mind one bit that Javier Bardem calls his creation “one of the most horrible haircuts in history.”

The New Jersey stylist created the ‘do for Bardem’s character in “No Country for Old Men,” drawing on the mop tops of the British warriors in the medieval Crusades as well as the haircuts of the 1960s for inspiration.

When he won the best supporting actor Oscar on Sunday, Bardem said:

“This is pretty amazing, and I want to thank the Coens (directors Joel and Ethan) for being crazy enough to think that I could do that and put one of the most horrible haircuts in history on my head.”

Oscar host Jon Stewart quipped that it combined “Hannibal Lecter’s murderousness with Dorothy Hamill‘s wedge-cut.”

LeBlanc, who shared the best makeup Oscar for “Amadeus” in 1985, takes it all in stride.

“It’s a film that will have a long life and it’s nice to know that my art will live on as well,” he said.

Bardem “told me every morning when I finished the top that it helped him to get into character,” LeBlanc added.

Beating a dead horse?

Whoopi Goldberg, the four-time Oscar host who was missing from a montage of past hosts during Sunday’s telecast, wasn’t the only noticeable absence.

Blogs have been buzzing about the omission of Brad Renfro from the tribute to entertainers who died during the past year.

Renfro, who got his start opposite Susan Sarandon in 1994’s “The Client,” died Jan. 15 of a heroin overdose at age 25.

An Oscars spokesman called it “an editing decision. … We can’t fit everyone in.”

He’s got her sexyback

Justin Timberlake, who has been working with Madonna on her upcoming album, will induct her into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Madonna will be among those honored at the March 10 ceremony. Other inductees include Leonard Cohen, John Mellencamp, The Dave Clark Five, The Ventures and Little Walter.

Family programming

Country singer Billy Ray Cyrus and his singing daughter Miley – aka “Hannah Montana” of Disney channel fame – will host and perform at the 2008 CMT Music Awards.

The announcement is expected to make the April 14 awards show a tough ticket.

Miley’s last “Best of Both Worlds” concert in Nashville sold out and commanded high prices in the secondary ticket market, much like her other stops nationwide.

Two pigs in a poke

Alec Baldwin and his 12-year-old daughter, Ireland, apparently have reconciled, based on paparazzi photos of the beaming girl sitting next to her dad in a car.

The divorced dad shocked parents around the world last April when an angry voice mail he left for Ireland, calling her a “rude pig” for not answering, leaked on the Internet.
