Three Hawks earn All-Pro honors

From Wire Reports The Spokesman-Review

Three Seattle Seahawks were named to the Associated Press All-Pro team, matching the second-highest total in franchise history.

The team, which was announced Wednesday, included Seahawks tackle Walter Jones, defensive end Patrick Kerney and linebacker Lofa Tatupu.

The total matches that of the 1984 All-Pro team, which included Seahawks Kenny Easley, Joe Nash and Norm Johnson. Seattle had four players, all on offense, on the 2005 All-Pro team.

Jones has been named to the first team four times – in 2001, 2004, 2005 and 2007. He was a second-team pick last season.

Tatupu and Kerney made the All-Pro team for the first time.

The All-Pro team included a league-high five players from the unbeaten New England Patriots. Seattle joined two other teams, San Diego and Dallas, in having three All-Pro players.

Owens misses practice

Terrell Owens still wasn’t able to practice because of a high ankle sprain, continuing the drama of whether the Dallas Cowboys will have their newest All-Pro receiver for the playoff game Sunday against the New York Giants.
