Puthoff paces Mead past CV

Christina Puthoff made all eight of her free throws on her way to a team-high 14 points to lead the Mead Panthers to a 57-43 victory over the Central Valley Bears at CV.

CV (7-6) held a 16-14 lead after the first period, but Mead (11-2) outscored the Bears 17-10 in the second quarter to take control.

Lindsey Gigler scored 14 points to lead CV.

Lewis and Clark 66, Ferris 31: At the Arena, the Tigers (12-0) used huge second and fourth quarters to beat the Saxons (5-8).

LC outscored Ferris 18-7 in the second half to take a 32-15 halftime lead and then outscored the Saxons 20-6 in the fourth quarter.

Sarah Kliewer scored 12 points to lead a balanced LC scoring attack. Brittany Kennedy had seven points, six rebounds, four steals and six assists.

Liz Boyden scored 13 points to pace Ferris.

LC maintained its 11/2 game lead over Mead and Shadle Park for first-place in the GSL standings.

North Central 49, Rogers 36: At Rogers, Andrea Depaolo scored 13 points to lead the Indians (4-9) past the Pirates (0-12).

NC jumped out to a 21-14 halftime lead and, after an even third quarter, pulled further away in the fourth.

Brooklynn Smith scored 14 points and had six steals for Rogers. Jessica Carpenter chipped in with 10 rebounds.

Rogers’ Thuy Chung Huynh hit three 3-pointers and scored nine points.

Shadle Park 50, Gonzaga Prep 30: At Spokane Falls Community College, Lexie Pettersen made all six of her free throws and scored 18 points to lead the Highlanders (11-2) past the Bullpups (5-8).

Sara Nichols chipped in nine points for Shadle – all during the third quarter.

Tia Presley scored a team-high 17 points for G-Prep.
