The wrong connections
How do I … find out if someone is using my home or business Wi-Fi connection?
One way is to have your home or business router (the hardware that manages your wireless connection) create a log file of activity. In most cases, the setting is on by default, but if not, go into your router settings. Check your documents on how to do that.
The logs will tell you which sites are being accessed in a given period.
Or you can install any of several free tools that do about the same thing. Try either Securepoint Intrusion Detection or WallWatcher. Securepoint can be downloaded from download.com; WallWatcher can be found at sonic.net/wallwatcher. Both run only in Windows.
